RSD Lite is the legendary, all-in-one and one-for-all flash tool for all Motorola phone including android and non-android Motorola devices. Needless to say, we have unbricked several Motorola devices using this tool.

, the installation process is almost the same as any other software that Windows InstallShield wizard recognises. But for reference sake, the illustrated step by step guides below shows exactly how to install RSDLite on Windows PC.
- Download RSDLite and extract it onto a folder on your PC. The file is compressed in
.7z
so you might need to extract the file using 7zip extractor or similar programs. You may choose to download any version of the flash tool in the table above. And you may SKIP this step if you have done it prior. - Now, open the folder wherein you have extracted the flash tool as in the step 1 above, in the folder, you should see RSD Lite v6.2.4.msi; select this file and double-click on it.
- Immediately the file is clicked, Windows Installer should open to prepare the file for the installation.
- Here, just click on "Next" to proceed.
- From here, check the radio button to accept the terms and conditions of the software installation and then, click Next.
- From the next screen, confirm the folder into which the program is being installed and then, click "Next". You may change installation folder by clicking on the "Browse Button but it is highly recommended that you leave the default installation folder as it is.
- And now, Windows Installer begins installing the RSD Lite on your PC.
- If Windows shows a prompt or several prompts similar to what is seen in the image below, simply click "Yes" and the installation shall proceed.
- Once the installation is complete, click Close and exit Windows InstallShield wizard setup screen.
